Dear Colleagues and Professionals in the Transplant area
I would like to welcome you to the website of XX Latin American and Caribbean Transplant Congress, which will be held in our country in the city of Viña del Mar, between 22 and 26 September 2009.
20 years after the first Transplant Congress of this magnitude was held in Chile, we have the satisfaction but also the great responsibility of realizing this event with the best standards of scientific and organizational quality.
It is true that in the course of these two decades we have progressed greatly in the county in the development of the transplant activity, thanks to the dedication of many Physicians and Professionals who have not spared efforts for the sake of the expansion of this beautiful activity. An important participation in this progress has been due to the engergetic scientific activity carried out since the Chilean Transplant Society was founded, which has had a sustained growth in the last decade. The national Transplant Corporation and the Public Health Institute above also carried out commendable work.
Fortunately, excellent work teams have been formed, which are leading the organization of this Twentieth Latin American and Caribbean Transplant Congress, in the executive as well as in the scientific part, with which we hope to offer you and the Latin American community an excellent Congress.
We invite all the professionals that work in this activity to become a part of and participate in this challenge.
