DIRECTIVE REUNION IN PHILADELPHIA IN MAY


 

The Directive of the Latin American and Caribbean Society of Transplant carried out a Directive Reunion Sunday, May 01st of this present year, within the agreements of the ATC Congress, held in Philadelphia, USA.

The meeting was presided by Dr. Ashley Baquero, bringing together the members of the Directives that assisted the mentioned Congress: Dr. Domingo Casadei, Dr. Roberto Tanus (Argentina), Dr. Alejandro Nino Murcia (Colombia), Dr. Maria Amalia Matamoros (Costa Rica), Dr. Josefina Alberu (Mexico), Dr. Francisco Gonzalez (Uruguay), Dr. Sergio Orihuela (Uruguay), Dr. David Arana (Venezuela), Dr. Mario Abbud and Dr. Valter Duro (Brazil).

Dr. Francis Delmonico, Elected President of The Transplantation Society and Dr. Cristina Ribeiro de Castro, Representative of the STALYC in the TTS also assisted.

Among the important matters of this agenda, we discussed and informed about the winners of the Development Scholarship Award of the first semester, the next Extension Course that will take place in Venezuela, some items of the Presidents Reunion of the member countries that took place in March, and the outcome of the XXI Latin American Transplant Congress. Also discussed was the possibility of creating a TTS Scholarship for a three month internship in a centre of the United States and or elsewhere.
